I bought this bike because my 2 1/2 year old son had outgrown his tricycle and wanted a “big kid bike”. This is a very high-quality bike, super sturdy and looks really cool. However, it is so HEAVY that my son has difficulty pedaling it, and he is definitely not small for his age (over 38″ tall and 35 pounds). He can do okay on a flat surface or downhill, but any kind of an incline and I have to push him, which kills my back. I feel bad for marking a product down for being too solidly built, but this thing is just too heavy for a little kids bike. I think that next summer he should be able to pedal it no problem, and this thing is definitely well built enough to last for years and years of use, but it didn’t get much use this summer.
